Tash Tracy (she/her)
Tash is a down-to-earth registered psychologist with a special interest in the wellbeing of children and adolescents. She approaches all her client’s needs with kindness and curiosity and recognises that childhood and adolescence can be particularly challenging times of life. Tash loves working with children and their parents in addressing anxiety, mood and behavioural difficulties, and adjusts her approach to meet the needs of the child and family.
Tash is also passionate about helping teens manage their strong emotions, school stress, perfectionism, anxiety, low mood, as well as navigating friendships and identity concerns.
In addition to working with young people, Tash enjoys supporting adults of all ages in overcoming life's challenges. Tash ultimately hopes her clients feel understood and supported as they collaboratively work together to create a more peaceful life.
Tash has experience across a range of clinical settings, including delivering parent management training for children presenting with oppositional and defiant behaviour, as well as individual and group therapy to those experiencing emotional dysregulation, complex trauma, and suicidality.
Tash incorporates Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Schema Therapy in her treatment process. She values an individual’s primary attachment relationships as a mechanism for change and uses Attachment-Based Family Therapy (ABFT) and the Circle of Security parenting program to explore emotions and behaviours and enhance clinical outcomes.
Tash graduated with a Master of Clinical Psychology from the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) and is undertaking her clinical psychology registrar program under the supervision of TMC director, Dr Daniel Mullens.
Tash works at North Sydney on Monday and Wednesday afternoons and Saturdays.
