Sarah Nguyen - The Mind Clinic
Sarah Nguyen (she/her)

Sarah is a warm and compassionate Clinical Psychologist, who is genuinely curious about getting to know her clients beyond their mental health difficulties. She adopts an open and non-judgmental approach in her work and believes in the importance of providing validation whilst also working towards change. She uses a combination of evidence-based treatments such as Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing and Mindfulness-based approaches.

Sarah provides individual therapy for adult clients and older adolescents (16 years and over). She particularly enjoys working with anxiety disorders (e.g., specific phobias, social anxiety, panic attacks, agoraphobia, generalised anxiety), obsessive compulsive disorder, and emotion dysregulation. She delivers trauma-informed care and is motivated to equip her clients with practical coping strategies to manage their distress.

Sarah completed her Master of Clinical Psychology at the University of Technology, Sydney and holds a clinical psychology endorsement with the Psychology Board of Australia. She is also a Psychology Board-approved Supervisor for student psychologists. Sarah has experience working in hospitals and non-government organisations, facilitating group therapy programs for anxiety and mood disorders, personality disorders and substance use disorders.

Sarah is currently on leave.
