A School Readiness assessment is ideal for parents of pre-schoolers who are unsure whether to send their child to school or hold them back in preschool for another year. They involve an age-appropriate cognitive assessment (IQ test) and detailed questionnaires for parents and the current educators on the child’s adaptive behaviour which provides a measure of communication skills, self-help skills, gross and fine motor skills. These assessments involve an initial 30-50minute interview, an in-person session with the child (usually up to 90 minutes), online questionnaires, and a 30-50 minute feedback session during which a comprehensive report is explained and given to the parent or carer.
